York is a great club. It is one of the best run courses in the central ohio area. I travel all of the United States and have played some of the best courses in the US. York may not be the longest but if you break 75 I would be suprised the first time you play it. The club Manager there Chuck Dahn runs that facility like a southern club and his staff takes time to get to know you and your name. Good luck trying to hit number three and 13 might be the hardest par three in american! 230 up hill side hill no where it miss.

Everything you could ever want in a golf course lenth, trees, maybe little to many, and a tough couse to walk, number 10 is known as cardic hill, make sure you have a doctor with you if you plan on walking up number 10 hill. Also known as the site of many Dahn opens, and lots of drama during the event

Played all over the world in the navy, and York might seem easy, but very tough to shot a low number. The trees are much bigger now, so if you miss the fairway, its tough to get the ball on the green.I have played out there about 500 times and I think I have only hit the green on number 3 once or twice in my life. Same with number two very long par 4 up hill, thick rough, a par is a great score there, as is number 3.Good course to walk and get in shape!!!!!

York is a true championship golf course. It has even been compared to Augusta National. Not only is York a great course, but the club house is one of the best in the nation. The general manager of the club house, Chuck "The Diesel" Dahn is a very large man. He is 6'7, 260, comin at ya with momentum. Even though he is large, do not let it fool you, he is soft. His staff are some of the finest workers of our time. Mark, Nino, Jay, Josh, Alison, Courtney, and Heather are just a few of the fantastic grill room staff. When they're not working hard for the members, you can find them taking trash runs. Mark and Nino especially love taking trash runs to get a nice break from their hard work:) Also, if Jay is not taking a trash run you can find him working hard on his own golf game on the putting green. He does work very hard at his game but still needs even more work to beat me on the course:) (I beat him on our chipping contests too) Not only does "The Diesel" have a great staff but so does the PGA Professional, Mr. Glenn Johnson. Mr. Johnson loves his New York Yankees, and his Indinia Hoosier basketball team. He even has a decent hook shot himself. Some of his hard working staff consists of Rob, Wildman, Kurtz, Mike, and Chad. During late evenings in the golf season, you can find Wildman working hard on his golf game usually playing a quick two holes. (11 and 12) He also loves his gyros. Rob Hoskins is a solid golfer too but from time to time, heads up if your standing to the right of him because you might get one of his shanks right in your dome! Also, the courses Superintendent, Chris Gates, keeps the course in tip top condition all season long. York is truely a wonderful Golf Club!

the starter is very mean and the greens are in worst condition than a public course. the fees are way too much for a course that has nothing spectacular about it.it also has no pools or tennis courts. in my opinion it is the worst private club i have ever been to. the course looks just like safari golf club which is one of the cheapest courses. so if you want to play york i suggest that you go to safari and you will save a lot of money and get the same lay out of a course.

Great Course, play it a lot and still get in different types of trouble. Very tight course, must find the fairway or have the ability to play a variety of golf shots to score well. Relatively short, but course has an extra par 3 that takes yardage off the total. In addition the club is run very well with manager Chuck Dahn. Overall, great track!!

You guys that say it should be apublic course are totally wrong. It is one of the oldest golf courses in Ohio and one of the best. If you don't hit into the fairway even though the rough is short plan to have a bogey or worse. For all of you that have not played here be very careful of number 16's green It is not a long course but is very tight.

Good Muni like track. Lacks true Country Club amenities, but has a few pretty neat old holes.

Challenging lies on most holes, especially on back 9. Greens in very good shape, fast and true. Not terribly long, but length is not the true mark of a good course. Aged course with lots of old growth and character. Overall excellent experience!

grew up being a member, now i play it once a year, and still have a hard time breaking 80.greens very fast,if you miss the fairway on your tee shot, dont count on hitting the green in regulation.after climbing cardic hill on #10 you are ready for a nice quick lunch at the pro shop. dont for get to bring your chain saw, you will need it!

good old fashioned layout, plenty of history, tall trees and undulating greens...The asst. pro, Andy Kurtz, is one of the more professional aspects of the club... a name to remember.

An excellent public golf course! Surpasses other local (public) courses in diversity and manages to maintain a very affordable price. Only flaw, greens...
