The head pro had kids that went to my school, dont get down on him bc everyone who thinks they have a decent job in Columbus acts like a real a-hole, but its a pretty good course with alot of rude and connotations attached, esp the members and families from the area. On a side note though its alot less racist than the course in UA that doesnt allow 'colored' members still. Ohio has a very long way to go in this respect |

Generally, I do not like Nicklaus courses, but Muirfield Village is very different. I played it four times as a junior in tournaments and it never disappointed. Approach shots are downright terrifying and the greens were always pristine, even in the dead heat of July. Worth the money if you get a chance to play, and make sure to hit one from the tournament tee on #12. |

I have been playing the course as a guest since it opened as I live 1/4 mile away. It is such a beautiful layout and the course improves each year. I love the challenge. |

Wonderful shot values. Lots of room off the tee. One of the best golf experiences from the time you leave your car until you leave. Beautifully maintained. Green speed not as fast or as difficult as advertised but quick by central Ohio standards |

Hey Joe Johnson, you are arguing just like the others, so come down off your high horse big bad Joe Johnson. You probably are a hack yourself, and not even a member of Muirfield. |

Muirfield Village G.C. is a truly special experience for anyone who fully respects the game of golf. In a day and time where many courses reward consistent conservative play with remarkably low scores, M.V.G.C. demands more. Without gimmicks, drastick angles or undulation the course will challenge the any level of play. You will be offered no short cuts to a low round, your calculated risks will be rewarded and penalized fairly and by the end of the day the course will let you know exactly where your game stands. M.V.G.C. is what the game of golf was, is, and should always aspire to be; pure! |

Hey Doc and Dublin golfer - you're both idiots for fighting on this review site about this course. You both probably are hacks - if you weren't you would shut up and focus on the course. Your reviews are worthless - next time don't bother. |

Greens have been redone.....this course is perfect for most of the year. Yes they spend the other half preparing for the tournament, but it isn't intended to be a track that you and three friends show up 10 minutes late for on a Saturday morning. |

Hey Dublin golfer,
I hope you weren't writing to me because if you were, then you're an idiot. I was saying I love your course. Also, I've played it several times. And I have played Inverness and Scioto several times as well. |

Hey doc, chances are that you have never played the course. You might have been to the tournament once. And you don't know Jack. Muirfield is one of Jack's best courses and the greens this year are playing faster and more true then ever before.Good luck finding a ticket to the tourney. |

Great course! Best in OH except for maybe Inverness. To address a previous comment, Scioto is nice but they could never host a championship tourney there--and not just because of the limited amount of land, but because the course is so frickin easy. |

Wow. What a gorgeous track. Very majestic. Play it if you can. A 5-star course, no doubt, but docked 1/2 star for condition of the greens (not awful, but should be better for what you pay, and for the class they want to be compared to). |

Dr. Stive, how do you think you would be treated if you "stopped by to play" at Agusta. This is a very private course, not a muni. As for the course, it is outstanding. They replaced the greens last year and still aren't satisified. New greens superintendent has been brought in. I expect the greens to be equal to the rest of the course next year. |

The layout is great and the fairways were in great shape, however, the greens are in awful shape. I've played the course a few times each od the last several years and the greens are always bad. How does this course keep it's high ranking? I would also agree with the previous reviewer regarding the management and head professional. They are rude and arrogant. The assistant pros could not have been nicer and more helpful and the locker room staff were also very couteous. I would rank Muirfield #5 or #6 in Columbus and dropping. |

Put together an absolutely incredible layout combined with the single worst group of management/pros/maintanence in north america and you wind up with Muirfield Village Golf Club. |

Is this golf course ever in shape other than the tournament? Played it last summer and it was awful. The overall experience was not good at all other than the guy who parked my car and the locker room attendant. Met the head pro and he might be the rudest person I've ever met. I can't believe this guy keeps his job. |

Frankly, pretty easy on most tee shots, as the fairways are very generous. The second shot is another issue, as the longer tees require accurate long irons into greens where you better hit the ball in the right spot to score at all. Very fair course, and absolutely fun to play where the pros tee it up. There is too much variance in the course condition though, as some times it is manicured to perfection, and other times it's more like a muni course. If you can get on it, don't miss the opportunity to play it. |

Course is in awful shape. Fringe and grass around is dead and the greens were not fit for the pros. If Scioto would have more land there would easily be more tournaments held at Scioto than there would be at Murfield. Overall Murfield is just in average shape year round, just nothing spectacular. |

One of the best out there. I cannot beleive the perfection on the course. The rough will eat you up if you don't hit fairways, and the greens are another story. Great finishing hole which I birdied with a holed out bunker shot. You need to hit it long and straight to score at this course. |

The course is one of the best in the land--truly fitting of one of the second-tier major tournaments. The layout is challenging, yet manageable for the calculating golfer. perhaps that is why Tiger does so well there every year. It should be noted however, that the Golf Club link is incorrect. Those who know, noticed that the TCC link is the "other" Muirfield Country Club--not the tournament site--MVGC. It is across the street, but just not the same course. Either way, this is an excellent site for the Memorial Tourney and any other golf outing. |

Great course. Easy off the tee, but tortourous on your second. I was able to this course at the US Jr. Am Qualifier. I shot 90, and had a great time. I started on 10, and went out in 49, and in in 41 finishing with 6 straight pars. Great course. |

Without question the best course you will ever play. All types of challenges. Bo, Joe, Chris, Tommy can't keep up with the older members. I've played with all of them. Except for Joe, these are all junior golfers that are really good. Club champ runner up tow years ago is the best guy out there. |

Heather, SAB, and Tom,
The only way to play is to be invited by a member, to work there, or to play on the PGA and be invited by Mr. Nickalus. Otherwise, you're out of luck. It is a very exclusive private course. Which makes it so great. |

I was blessed with the opportunity to play on the famed Memorial course, and it did not let me down. This is the best course I have played by far. It was such an experience - it makes you view the game of golf for what it was meant to be... |
