Looks like making all the good employees quit or firing them to hire the owners girlfriend and family members has paid off, hear the course will be closing in 2015 - how sad - used to be a wonderful place to play and work but when Bill passed his son took over - major fail

Best public track in N.E. Ohio - Always in great condition with wonderful greens - We had tee times at a course down the road from St. Denis and when we got there we found that they had aerifyied the greens and sanded them - when I asked why we were not told of this when we made the tee time the manager just shrugged his shoulders! Needless to say we left and went to over to St. Denis and had a blast! Course was in awesome shape and the staff was great. Manager at St. Denis said they always tell golfers at least 2 weeks in advance when they are aerifying. We will be back to St. Denis!!!!

Went to an outing at St. Denis this past summer (2009) and it was the best organized smoothest running golf event I have ever been to. The course was in immaculate condition and the dinner banquet after golf at the beautiful party center was outstanding. I will be playing there this season in a league - Best local course by far.

Played at St. Denis early September at an outing. Course was in amazing shape, fairways and greens the best we have played on all year. Outing was well run and the dinner after at the beautiful party center was fantastic. I signed up my foursome for one of their permanent early weekend tee times (no charge!) as we want to play here every week. Highest recommendation!

Recently played here for the first time and found it exceptional. Friendly staff but an excellently maintained golf course with nice layout, many elevations and many trees. Great value for the price.

While other courses are brown and dry St. Denis is lush and green. Fairways and greens are outstanding. This is one of Northeast Ohio's finest courses and it's public!! Played in an outing this past week (6-23-07)and the course was in amazing shape and the dinner at the party center was wonderful so if you are planning an outing this year or next this place is a perfect choice.

played this for the first time last September 06. LOVED IT! excellent shape, fair and challenging course, wide variety of holes and everyone was extremely nice. I took fri afternoon off and played by myself: everyone let the single play thru. doesn't always happen that way. Extremely good value. only problem to keep it from 4 1/2 stars for me: drainage was not real good. Althouhg it HAD been a rainy week there was still too much standing water in many places for a course as nice as this one is. highly recommend it. I'll play again

I've been playing this course for over 25 years. This golf course is groomed and maintained with excellence at all times. Challanging & yet enjoyable for all degrees of talent. Scenery is beautiful. I can not say enough about the owners and staff who have always treated customers with respect and a welcome atmosphere. I've also played golf courses all over the country & "The grass is truly greener at St. Denis. Ohio has a piece of golf heaven and it's located right here in Chardon.

Never had a problem with the people in the clubhouse. There is one ranger there that works the weekday evening that in my opinion should be fired. He is not friendly and is cold. He should be working to be a goodwill diplomat for the course. Instead he is the opposite. If this course wasn't so nice I would not come back due to his ignorance.

Words cannot describe how I feel about this course and it's staff. First rate all the way and the best people that you would ever want to meet. for the last 3 years we have been holding a Memorial Golf outing at St. Denis. Gary and his staff are head and shoulders above the rest. Whatever we need, we have it. This is one of, if not the best, courses in Notheast Ohio. It is in beautiful condition and a joy to be on. Many thanks for yet another great year Gary. Looking forward to 2007 already.

The course is in beautiful condition. This is one golf course that they put money back into it and keep improving it year after year. Best kept secret is a great way to describe it. The Party Center Staff is excellent and the views from the Party Center are out of this world.

It's early april and I just played St Denis - the course is already in early summer condition!Fairways and greens were excellent. This is definitely N.E. Ohio's best kept secret. Don't play here so I can have it all to myself.

I was one of the unfortunates behind JL's "ladies" outing on 8/29 - oh-my-god! The ladies were all over the course - driving on the tees - running over "cart paths only" signs - on the fringe of the greens!! 30 - 40 minutes per hole!! never replaced divots - stood on the tees yaking when the group in front was totally out of sight! We begged the ranger several times to put us and the rest of the numerous golfers backed up by these hags out of our misery - when he politely asked them to please speed up their snail pace he was met with rudeness and belligerence. We called the pro shop as did many other golfers who's day was ruined by this "outing". These "girls" should not be allowed to play Putt-Putt. They were FINALLY asked to leave at the START of hole #6 after over 3 hours!! St. Denis is a great course and I have been to numerous outings there and can only say "if you want to play a little known but top notch course with a great staff and superb party center facillites - come the St. Denis !!"

Never had a problem with the people in the clubhouse. I go to different courses to play the course. If someone is rude to me I just give it back to them. At this course I was playing in a foursome and the ranger asked us to keep up with the group ahead of us. That group was a threesome with carts, we were walking. The group behind us were two holes back. We finished the round in our usual four hour 15 min. time. Told the ranger the power of his posistion went ot his head.

we had a golf outing on sunday 8/29 for 28 ladies. i have never come across such rude personnel in my life. first they said we had an 11am tee time when in fact we had a 10:30 tee time but just yelled and said well i have you down for 11. then the other guy told us to move our carts which is fine, but the tone of his voice was not very nice. we had a lot of good golfers on the league and i admit the last 4 were not very good but you do not harrass them like the ranger did and have people hit into them. they eventually left the course. i do a lot of golfing and have never played this course and i will tell you i will never in my life give you my money and i will tell everyone i know never to golf on this course. i just cannot understand how people can treat other people like they are dogs and not worthy to golf your course. well guess what you never have to worry about one of us to come back. one of the girls is a pro golfer too and she will spread the word. one of my worst golf experiences ever.

A challenging course for the average golfer. However, the staff is rude. They take tee times but don't honor them. They harass golfers on the course even though they are keeping up with the pace of play. I will never return.

I'd like to know where "shaggy" gets that this course is a "pasture"... some elevation changes, and an overall good design... very fun to play! I also like the fact that often there are not many people out there!!!! A fun course to play! PLAY IT!

This course is well maintained, has concrete cart paths, and I have found the course management to be respectful. The course is forgiving and I have always had an enjoyable time playing here. Greens and cart fees are also reasonable.
