18 players advanced through U.S. Senior Open Local Qualifying on Monday at Worthington Hills Country Club.
Difficult, windy conditions made it a challenge for competitors to go low on Worthington Hills' tricky layout.
Lancaster's Chris Black and Lewis Center's Brian Unk shared medalist honors with even-par rounds of 71.
Rik Cramer and RJ Foltz both shot one-over 72 to finish a tie for third, a stroke behind the medalists.
Ohio Golf Hall of Famer and Champions Tour winner Rod Spittle was a part of a group of those who carded 74 to advance.
A 5-for-4 playoff at 75 to round out the day included Paul Hollenbaugh, Barry Hinckley, Bradley Paskievitch, Sam Arnold, and two-time PGA Tour winner, Frank Lickliter II.
Lickliter happened to make the only bogey of the fivesome. All four other players made par to advance to the final stage. Lickliter will be a 1st alternate.
Thank you to Worthington Hills Country Club for hosting today's qualifier!
