The Ohio Golf Association will conduct six (6) sectional qualifiers to fill the 120th Ohio Amateur Championship field.
This year's Ohio Amateur Championship takes place July 20-24, at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport.
33 exempt players entered the championship field. Up to six additional spots in the championship field will be awarded to champions of the other events within the state, including:
2026 Ohio Junior Championship, 2026 Ohio Senior Amateur Championship, 2026 Northeast Ohio Amateur Championship, 2026 GCGA Tony Blom Metropolitan Amateur Championship, 2026 MVG Metropolitan, and a The Virtues GC event TBD.
The OGA received 609 entries into the 2026 Ohio Amateur Championship, the most on record. The previous record was 585 entries in 2023.
