After a lengthy delay due to dangerous weather on Monday and an overnight suspension of play due to darkness, play finally concluded on Tuesday morning at the 2026 Ohio Mid-Amateur Qualifier at Rattlesnake Ridge GC.
The medalist in the 120-man field was Peyton White, a former Korn Ferry Tour member and standout at Ohio University. White, who now resides in Hilliard, made five birdies in a span of eight holes to top the field at 5-under-par.
Only five players came back to finish their round on Tuesday morning, and among them was Columbus' Evan Yakubov, who sat at -3 with three holes to play.
Knowing a birdie would advance him, Yakubov, who was playing as a single, made par on the 16th and 17th holes to set the stage on 18. He hit his approach to six feet on 18 before making a clutch birdie that decided to drop instead of hanging on the right edge.
Yakubov shared the qualifying positions at -4 alongside Chagrin Falls' Casey Schrader and Westerville's Austin Kondratick.
RESULTSKondratick, who grew up a member at Rattlesnake Ridge, used his knowledge of the golf course to keep the nerves away as he shot a 4-under-par 68 to advance.
"I didn't really feel nerves at all, it also helped that I was one of the first groups off, so I could just play my own game and I didn't have to look at a scoreboard. It's really nice to get it done here," Kondratick said.
This year's

Thank you to Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club for hosting the qualifier and having the course ready for play despite heavy rainfall in the last week.
