DUBLIN, Ohio - On Wednesday, a trio of players advanced through U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying at The Club at Tartan Fields.

Andrew Rhodes of Westfield, Ind. was medalist, thanks to a bogey-free 66.

His playing partner, Matt Liston of Louisville, Ky. also advanced with a five-under 67. Liston was one-over through four holes, but then rattled off six birdies over his last 14 holes to finish runner-up behind Rhodes.

Later in the afternoon, eyes were on Dublin's Zach Glassman, who was -5 with three holes to play. With one qualifying spot remaining, three players; Ian Hardesty, Colin Biles, and Tyler Riley were already in the clubhouse at -4.

Glassman made a three-putt bogey on No. 8, his 17th hole, and failed to make birdie on the finishing par-5 ninth, setting up a 4-for-1 playoff for those who shot 68 (-4).

After all four made par on the first playoff hole, Riley hit a dart on the par-3 17th, setting up an easy birdie to qualify for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.

Hardesty made bogey and was eliminated on the second playoff hole. Biles made birdie on the fifth playoff hole to claim the 1st alternate position, with Glassman 2nd.

The 2025 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship will be played in Troon Country Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., from Sept. 13-18.
