In association with the USGA, the Ohio Golf Association will host a total of nine USGA championship qualfiying events in 2026.
As the summer golf season approaches, players across Ohio and beyond will have multiple chances to try and earn entry into USGA national championships through qualifiers staged right here in the Buckeye State. Administered by the Ohio Golf Association, these events offer eligible players a pathway to the U.S. Open, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Amateur, and more.
U.S. Senior Open Local Qualifying -- Worthington Hills Country Club

The qualifying schedule kicks off with U.S. Senior Open Local Qualifying at Worthington Hills CC in Columbus, open to men ages 50 and above with a handicap index of 2.4 or better.
Players will compete for spots into Final Qualifying before the championship is staged down the road at Scioto Country Club, from July 2-5.
U.S. Women's Open Qualifying - New Albany Country Club

Women with a handicap index of 2.4 or better are eligible and will attempt to make the U.S. Women's Open Championship at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.

Men with a handicap of 0.4 or better are eligible to compete for a spot in U.S. Open Final Qualifying.
U.S. Open Final Qualifying - The Lakes Golf & Country Club

The Lakes Golf & Country Club in Westerville has co-hosted U.S. Open Final Qualifying 15 times this century. On June 8, they will get an opportunity to serve as the lone host course for the first time. The Final Qualifier in Columbus routinely sees dozens of PGA TOUR players thanks to the timing and location of the Memorial Tournament.
Those who are exempt THROUGH Local Qualifying or advance FROM Local Qualifying will tee it up for a spot in the U.S. Open, which takes place June 18-21, at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York.
U.S. Senior Women's Open Qualifying - The Club at Tartan Fields

This year's Championship takes place up north on August 20-23, at Barton Hills Country Club near Ann Arbor.
U.S. Junior Qualifying - OSU GC (Scarlet Course)

The first of two USGA Qualifiers to be staged at the Scarlet Course this summer is the U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier.
Ages 18 or less will be eligible to compete in this championship, which will be held in late July at Saucon Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania.
U.S. Girls Junior Qualifying - York Golf Club

Registration opens March 11
Girls 18 or less with handicaps of 5.4 or better will be eligible to compete in the 2026 U.S. Girls Junior Qualifier at York Golf Club.
The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn. will host the Championship in early August.
U.S. Amateur Final Qualifying - OSU GC (Scarlet Course)

Registration opens March 18
Once again, the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University Golf Club will host U.S. Amateur Final Qualifying.
Those are exempt through Local Qualifying or advance from Local Qualifying will have a chance to earn a spot into the Championship at Merion Golf Club outside of Philadelphia.
U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying - Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club

Registration opens April 22
The final USGA Qualifier of the summer is the U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifier at Rattlesnake Ridge GC in Sunbury.
Those ages 25 & up with a handicap index of 2.4 or better will be eligible to qualify and advance to the championship at Sand Valley Resort in Wisconsin.
Players will certainly be looking for a sliver of the success that Dublin's Jeg Coughlin III had at the Championship a year ago, as Coughlin, the reigning Ohio Mid-Amateur champion finished runner-up.
