We are now 120 days away from the opening round of the 120th edition of the Ohio Amateur Championship.

The Ohio Golf Association is excited to announce that this year’s Ohio Amateur Championship will take place at The Virtues Golf Club from July 20–24, 2026, in Nashport, approximately 40 miles east of Columbus.

"The Virtues Golf Club is honored to host such a prestigious event as the Ohio Amateur Championship. The ability to associate The Virtues Golf Club's name with previous hosts means a lot to the club's staff. We look forward to hosting the best Amateurs in the State of Ohio and continuing the rich tradition the Ohio Am has offered over the years," noted The Virtues Golf Club head professional, Scott Holmes.

The Virtues Golf Club is routinely recognized as one of the top public courses in the state of Ohio. This will mark the first time in the 21st century that the Ohio Amateur Championship will be held at a public golf course.

After a practice round on Monday, July 20, two days of stroke play will commence before a cut to the low-60 & ties is made following the completion of round 2.

After round 3, another cut will be made to the low-40 & ties for play in the final round on Friday, July 24.

The 2026 Ohio Amateur Champion will be exempt into the 2026 U.S. Amateur. The top-5 finishers & ties will be locally exempt for the 2027 U.S. Amateur. The top-20 & ties will be exempt into the 2027 Ohio Amateur Championship.

The defending champion is West Chester's Joe Wilson IV, who came out victorious in exciting fashion a year ago at Zanesville Country Club.

Players who are not already exempt into the 2026 Ohio Amateur Championship will have a chance to qualify through sectional qualifying. You may only enter one of the six qualifiers. Click one of the links below to be taken to the Ohio Amateur Championship infromation and registation page.
