The Ohio Golf Association will host a final qualifier on Monday, June 2, at The Lakes Golf & Country Club and Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club.
This year’s U.S. Open Championship will be played June 12-15 at Oakmont Country Club, just outside of Pittsburgh.
ABOUT THE COURSE
PGA Championship winner Lanny Wadkins designed Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio, in 2006. Pinnacle is known as one of the more difficult tracks in the state of Ohio, and its longest tees stretch the course to nearly 7,500 yards.
The front-nine and back-nine are noticeably different. The front-nine is very long, but open off the tee. On Monday, the front-nine will play over 300 yards longer than the back-nine. The second nine is significantly more narrow, specifically holes 14-17.
Pinnacle has hosted several USGA qualifiers and Mid American Conference Championships.
Head Golf Professional Scott Callaghan is in the field.
